This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at https://curated.visagedaily.com/, subscribe to our free newsletter, apply to be a vendor in our directory, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Hemzo Media (operating as a sole trader) is the "Data Controller" responsible for your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information about two primary groups: Readers/Subscribers and Vendors/Brands.

A. Information You Provide Directly (Readers & Subscribers):

  • Contact Data: Your name and email address when you voluntarily subscribe to our free newsletter or contact us via our website forms.
  • Communication Data: Information you provide when contacting our editorial team or responding to reader surveys.

B. Information You Provide Directly (Vendors & Brands):

C. Information Collected Automatically:

  • Usage and Device Data: When you visit our website, we automatically collect basic browser type, operating system, referrer URL, and general device telemetry.
  • Email Tracking (Web Beacons/Pixels): Our newsletters (hosted via beehiiv) utilize tracking pixels to gauge open rates, read times, and click-through metrics to help us improve future content.
  • Affiliate Tracking: If you click on an affiliate link in our newsletter or on our directory website, a tracking cookie or pixel is used to attribute any subsequent purchase to Visage Daily.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To deliver our free newsletter and provide the curated directory services.
  • To review and process vendor applications and manage ongoing B2B commercial relationships.
  • To analyze reader engagement to maintain and improve our editorial quality.
  • To fulfill our affiliate marketing partnerships and track referral commissions.
  • To communicate with you regarding updates, administrative messages, and future sponsored content.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases to process your data:

  • Legitimate Interests: We process B2B vendor contact data and basic website analytics under our legitimate interest to operate, curate, and grow our business, provided these interests are not overridden by your privacy rights.
  • Contractual Necessity: We process vendor data to enter into and fulfill our Vendor Terms and Conditions when a brand is accepted into our directory.
Our Privacy Pledge: Zero Data Selling We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Information is shared strictly with core operational providers (beehiiv for newsletters, Google for vendor forms) or affiliate partner networks upon voluntary outbound referral clicks.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share information only with trusted third parties necessary to operate our platform:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party platforms to run our business, including beehiiv (for newsletter distribution) and Google (for vendor application forms and email hosting).
  • Affiliate Networks and Brands: When you click an affiliate link, you are redirected to a third-party brand's website. The affiliate network or brand will drop their own cookies to track the referral. We do not control these third-party cookies or their privacy practices; we encourage you to review the privacy policy of the destination website.
  • Legal & Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of our business, our readers, or the public.

6. International Data Transfers

Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate statutory safeguards are in place, such as relying on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or implementing the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA).

  • Subscriber Data: Retained until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribed email addresses are held in a secure suppression list indefinitely to prevent accidental future direct marketing.
  • Vendor Data: Retained for the duration of the commercial relationship and for a statutory period of up to 6 years thereafter for legal and tax compliance.

Under UK data protection laws, you possess the following rights:

Editorial & Affiliate Transparency Statement

ASA CAP Code Compliance, "Ad" Labeling Rules, Beauty Testing Disclaimers & Editorial Independence

1. Funding, Affiliate Links, and Advertising Disclosures

Hemzo Media trading as Visage Daily is an independent digital media platform. To keep our newsletter free for subscribers, our business model relies on affiliate marketing commissions and clearly identified sponsored content.

We are committed to full transparency and strict compliance with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP Code:

  • Affiliate Links: When we recommend a product or brand in our directory, the link provided is often an affiliate link. If you click this link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission.
  • Clear Identification: In accordance with ASA requirements, all affiliate links and sponsored posts are clearly labelled with "Ad" or a similar unambiguous identifier before you click. We do not use unclear abbreviations such as "Aff" to denote advertising content.
  • Editorial Independence: While we share joint responsibility with our affiliate partners for ensuring advertising is obviously identifiable, our editorial opinions are not for sale. Affiliate commissions do not dictate our product critiques or curation criteria.
UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) Adherence We strictly follow the CAP Code. Outbound links generating financial compensation are clearly indicated as commercial advertisements before you click, ensuring you always know when a link is reader-supported.

2. No Scientific or Regulatory Authority (Beauty & Lifestyle)

Our directory features consumer goods across the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle categories. While we strive for thorough research and rely on publicly available data, we are not a consumer testing laboratory, regulatory body, or medical authority.

  • Cosmetic Safety: We do not independently verify the Cosmetic Safety Reports, clinical trials, or chemical formulations of the beauty brands listed in our directory.
  • Consumer Due Diligence: Any claims, critiques, or observations made regarding product efficacy, ingredient safety, or brand ethics are our subjective analyses. Readers must conduct their own due diligence, consult with certified professionals, or refer to official regulatory bodies (such as the MHRA) before making purchasing or health decisions based on our commentary.

3. Original Commentary & Third-Party Claims

You acknowledge that the content published across our newsletter and directory represents original commentary and editorial opinion, rather than absolute, certified factual reporting.

In our reporting, we frequently cite, quote, or synthesize allegations and data from external brand websites. Visage Daily expressly disclaims any liability for the underlying factual accuracy of claims made by third-party vendors. The presence of a brand in our directory is not a legal endorsement of its business practices or product safety.

4. Copyright & Intellectual Property Protection

© 2026 Hemzo Media. All Rights Reserved.

All original editorial content published by Visage Daily is the exclusive property of Hemzo Media and is protected by United Kingdom and international copyright laws.

  • You may not reproduce, republish, or commercially exploit our original commentary or directory database without prior written permission.
  • AI and Data Mining: We expressly reserve all rights regarding text and data mining. You are strictly prohibited from utilizing our text, images, or directory architecture to train, develop, or feed into artificial intelligence (AI) systems, machine learning models, or automated scrapers.

By submitting an application via our vendor onboarding form, checking the acceptance box, or permitting us to generate affiliate links to your products, you warrant that you have the legal authority to bind the Vendor to these Terms.

2. Editorial Independence and Discretion

  • Editorial Control: We retain absolute editorial control over the content, formatting, placement, and ranking of any directory listing.

Where your listing includes an affiliate tracking link, both parties acknowledge their joint responsibility to comply with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code) enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

In compliance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCCA), Visage Daily strictly prohibits the publication of fake or misleading consumer reviews:

  • Discovery of such practices will result in immediate and permanent removal from the directory.

7. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude either party's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Any loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue.
  • Loss of business opportunity, goodwill, or reputation.
  • Any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with the directory listing or the removal of a directory listing.

8. Indemnification

  • Any consumer claim relating to the safety, efficacy, or fulfillment of the Vendor's products.
  • Any breach of the warranties provided in Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6 of these Terms.
  • Any claim that the Vendor's marketing materials or Vendor IP infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.

9. Delisting and Termination

Visage Daily reserves the absolute right to suspend, amend, or permanently remove your listing from the directory at any time, with or without notice, and without liability or the requirement to provide a reason.

  • Prohibition of Concealed Incentives: Users must not submit a consumer review that hides the fact that it has been incentivised or paid for.
  • Our Commitment: We take reasonable and proportionate steps to prevent the publication of fake consumer reviews and to remove such information from publication upon discovery. We will not publish consumer review information in a misleading way, such as by suppressing negative reviews or cherry-picking only positive feedback.
